I have just uploaded the fourth part of adding a Tile Map Editor to Eyes of the Dragon. I'm sorry it took so long but I have been having a family crisis. In this tutorial I cover drawing a single layer map and saving it to disk. In the next tutorial I will cover reading in a single layer map in to the game and I hope to have it ready shortly. There is a screen shot of the editor on the Screenshots page. You can find the link to the tutorial on the RPG Tutorialsals page.

I have finished part 3 of adding a Tile Map Editor to Eyes of the Dragon. I did have to make a change to the editor from the last tutorial. I made a bad design choice when I was designing the editor and needed to fix it. There will be another tutorial on the editor very soon. It might take a little longer than I would like because of issues beyond my control. I will let you know what is going on with the tutorials on my blog http://xna-rpg.blogspot.com. You can find the links to the tutorial on the RPG Tutorials page.

I finished writing part 2 of adding a Tile Map Editor to Eyes of the Dragon. The code was a little more complicated than other code that I have written so far and it required a lot of explanation. At the moment the editor is just able to open a Tileset and be able to render a simple map. I will be working on the next part of the editor and should have another tutorial up in the not too distant future. You can find a screenshot of the editor on the Screenshots page and you can find a link to the tutorial on the RPG Tutorials page.

I have finished coding and writing the next tutorial on creating a role playing game with XNA 3.0 and I have uploaded it to my web site. In this tutorial I got started on adding a tile map editor, an important part of creating an RPG. This tutorial goes over the process of adding a control that can be used to render to using XNA. You can find the link to the latest tutorial on the RPG Tutorials page.

Good luck with your XNA game programming adventures.
